Peter van Dyck Peter van Dyck MD, MPH ’76, FAAP, has been named the winner of the Martha May Eliot Award by the American Public Health Association. The award, which honors exceptional achievement in the field of maternal and child health, was presented on October 31 during the 139th APHA Annual Meeting and Exposition at the Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C.

Van Dyck recently stepped down as the associate administrator of the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Health Resources and Services Administration, Department of Health and Human Services. He has a nearly 40-year history of active participation in the maternal and child health community, first in Utah as State Maternal and Child Health and CSHCN director and as a faculty member at the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah Medical Center.
