jacqueline barin Jacqueline Barin has been awarded a Fulbright U.S. Student Program scholarship to the Philippines in Public Health. She is one of more than 1,700 U.S. citizens who will travel abroad for the 2013-2014 academic year through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. Recipients of Fulbright grants are selected on the basis of academic and professional achievement, as well as demonstrated leadership potential.

The Fulbright Program is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.  The program operates in more than 155 countries worldwide.

Since its establishment in 1946 under legislation introduced by the late U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright of Arkansas, the Fulbright Program has given approximately 318,000 students, scholars, teachers, artists, scientists and other professionals the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research, exchange ideas and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns.

  1. Jac was really a great example. She was awesome. I was one of her facilitator during the Healthy Ka Pamilya when she was in the Philippines to conduct the said program. A lot of Filipino women and family benefited from the program. Thanks Ms Jac and Thanks UC Berkeley for the chance to see the better future .
